child to sit down and stay still in order

Create personalised reading albums
by placing them into folders with
clear plastic sleeves- they will be
different, fun and emotionally engaging

Use them in a group environment - the
cards are large enough to be visible
from a distance

Describe different uses of the objects
on the cards e.g. “We can sleep on the
bed or jump on the bed which is so much fun”, “We wear a jacket when it's cold
and windy”, “Mummy first has to peel an onion when she makes soup” and so on

Use them to initiate conversations with
the child, asking questions about what
they see: for example, asking them to describe colour, shape and other qualities of the objects.
