|How to use|

Giving your baby or toddler more learning opportunities
in the first 6 years of their life can greatly increase their learning
potential in the future. Doing so in a fun and playful way is doubly
beneficial. Here are some useful suggestions on how to use our
bright and colourful A4 Jumbo Reading Cards

  • Use them in a traditional flash card
method – sit your child in front of you
and show them the cards one at a time

  • Place them on the walls in frequent
view of the child – utilize wall space
and eliminate the need for your active
child to sit down and stay still in order
to learn. So much clearer and less
    cluttered than posters!

  • Create personalised reading albums
by placing them into folders with
clear plastic sleeves- they will be
    different, fun and emotionally engaging

  • Use them in a group environment - the
cards are large enough to be visible
    from a distance

  • Describe different uses of the objects
on the cards e.g. “We can sleep on the
bed or jump on the bed which is so much fun”, “We wear a jacket when it's cold
and windy”, “Mummy first has to peel an onion when she makes soup” and so on

  • Use them to initiate conversations with
the child, asking questions about what
they see: for example, asking them to describe colour, shape and other qualities of the objects.

Our cards are also perfect for parents or carers
of small babies who wish to accelerate language development
or to simply teach babies their first words. The cards are large
enough for even the smallest babies with very short attention spans
to concentrate on the bright and colourful picture.
