Between the ages of 0 and 5 children are like little sponges and will absorb anything their hungry little brains encounter. And the more they learn the "hungrier" they get. This is a perfect opportunity to throw everything their way: reading, counting, music, languages, arts, encyclopaedic knowledge, etc. and seeing what catches on. This is not to say that the aim is in making your kids into little geniuses or little walking encyclopaedias.
